Objective

Vocabulary: veterinarian, cow, chicken, sheep, pig, monkey, puppy, zebra, jellyfish, ocean

Grammar: I have/don't have; have got

Sentence: I have a monkey. The girl has a cat.

Objective 1: Students will be comfortable recognising 6-8 animals and begin to be familiar with describing them.

Objective 2: Students will be able to speak about a pet they or their friend has and what it is like.

  • Practice reading the poems aloud once handouts are completed.

  • Listening Directions: Play the animal sound video just until after the pig sound (1:28) and have the students write down the name of each animal.
