Objective

Vocabulary: land, water, air, car, train, scooter, boat, plane, on foot, bus 

Grammar : present simple; prepositions: in/on

Sentence: I go to school in/on a../I take a .../My dad has a ..

 

Objective 1: Students become acquainted with transport  vocabulary. 

Objective 2: Students will begin to use their vehicle vocabulary in sentences.

Story: Let's Climb a Mountain

  • Watch out this reader may have the pictures and corresponding words printed on the back and front of the page.

  • This is a simple reader, an ideal time to let the students practice  reading.

  • Play Land, Water, Air - With designated areas in the room for land, water and air, the teacher or student calls out a vocabulary word and the rest of the students must run to the corresponding area.

  • Note the noun for each vehicle and have the students tell you which goes with which.
