Carnet de Voyage
The parents have access to the Carnet de Voyage from the beginning of term so that they can accompany their children to discover, progress and enjoy English. Teachers are advised to check the Carnet de Voyage each time to ensure the content reflects the session content you are planning to use.

5 min Greeting

Spend some time asking BASIC QUESTIONS: How are you? How old are you? What's your name?
5 min Review last week
Take out the flashcards from the last session and see who remembers the words or phrases. If you gave homework - go through the work as a class.
10 min Introduction of topic
Introduce the topic FCs one by one displaying each one on the wall as it is introduced. Top tip! Encourage the children by allowing the children that repeat the word correctly to stick it up on the wall/board. Encourage the group to repeat the words several times as they are introduced. Play games with FCs to reinforce new vocabulary. Examples here.
Use the calendar to show and talk about today and the other days of the week. Sometimes, there is a calendar in the room - you can draw the connection if children are having a difficult time to understand days.
15 min Book : Book link Before reading, revise the vocab using flashcards. Read through the book: I dont like bees. Focus on what they like and what they dont like. You can put up the Flash Cards and ask the children if they do similar activities during the week. eg: Do you go dancing? When? Do you go swimming? When? They will be easily able to relate to the activities on the FCs
10 min Song/ Extra Game
After reading, if you have time, do another game with older students and practice a song with the younger students.
10 min Individual Activity
Each handout is age-specific, please ensure you use the handout that corresponds to your group. You may decide to use a handout aimed at a different age if your group is of a high level.
Explain the activity and do part or all of it as a group/class. Play "Listen and Point" - read the names of the seasons out loud and ask the children to point at the item that is relevant. Walk around room to see how the children are doing, help those that are struggling. Spend time with each child. Ask a question about the lesson or what they might be colouring. Encourage each child to either repeat vocabulary and sentences or to produce them independently, depending on their level.
